Day 1 Arrive in ANC
Visit the Anchorage Native Heritage Center Anchorage, or tee off under the midnight sun before capping the evening with a broadway show. Overnight in an Alaska Best Anchorage B&B (Alaska House of Jade, Highland Glen Lodge B&B).
Day 2 Anchorage
Start the day on a Coastal Trail with views of Cook Inlet and six mountain ranges. Visit the Alaska Zoo. Drive towards Turnagain Arm and to Porter marsh, home to over 130 species of waterfowl.
Day 3 Anchorage - Denali (Healy)
Today is a fun day traveling via Alaska Rail Road - The best way to see Interior Alaska! Choose the Dome car or Adventure class to be surrounded by the vast beauty of Alaska beyond imagination. Arrive Denali in the afternoon. Reserve a shuttle transfer to your B&B. Overnight at Denali Touch of Wilderness B&B, Healy.
Day 4 Denali (Healy)
Denali National Park - home to Mt McKinley, North American's tallest peak. Take a guided bus tour to see sweeping landscapes and incredible wildlife. 2nd Night at Denali Touch of Wilderness B&B.
Day 5 Denali - Fairbanks
Try a white water rafting trip, or simply hanging on the strip, or Park Visitor Center. Catch the train ride to Fairbanks, arrives that evening. Rent a car and check in to your B&B. Overnight at Dale and Jo View Suites, Fairbanks.
Day 6 Fairbanks
Take an guided Arctic Circle Bus Tour, crossing the legendary Yukon River, observe the incredible Trans-Alaska pipeline and wildlife. 2nd Night with Dale and Jo View Suite, Fairbanks.
Day 7 Fairbanks
Start the morning with the Riverboat Discovery along the Chena and Tanana Rivers. Spend the afternoon in Chena Hot Spring, see the Ice Museum. Or take an easy hike on the Boreal Forrest Trail at Creamers Field Bird Sanctuary. Swing over to the Georgeson Botanical Garden after checking out the baby caribou at the Large Animal Reserach Center next door. 3rd Night with Dale and Jo View Suite, Fairbanks.
Day 8 Fairbanks - ANC - Mat-Su Valley (Palmer)
Today you will fly from Fairbanks to Anchorage, pick up rental car and drive to the Mat-Su Valley. Overnight at Alaska Garden Gate B&B, Palmer.
Day 9 Mat-Su Valley (Palmer)
Visit the Iditarod Headquarter in Wasilla and the Musk Ox farm in Palmer. Explore Hatcher Pass and Independent Gold Mine State Historic Park. Look for wildlife and old gold mines nearby. 2nd Night in Alaska Garden Gate B&B.
Day 10 Mat-Su - Valdez
Take a morning drive along the scenic Glen Highway. Admire the Matanuska Glacier. Onward drive to Copper Center. Stop at the Visitor Center of the Wrangell St. Elias National Park. Take the Scenic byway South along Richardson Highway. View the Worthington Glacier and the breathtaking view of Thompson Pass. Spend the night in Valdez.
Day 11 Valdez - Seward
Travel by rental car via Alaska Marine Hwy/Ferry sailing through Prince William Sound. Arriving Whittier, onward to Seward. Visit the Exit Glacier NP. Overnight at Bear Lake Lodgings, Seward.
Day 12 Seward
Visit Alaska Sealife Center. Take a sled dog wilderness tour or take a canoe/kayak ride off the backyard of your B&B out into Bear Lake to explore. Enjoy many hiking trails within walking distance of your B&B. Spend the 2nd Night at Bear Lake Lodging, Seward.
Day 13 Seward - Homer
Drive through the Chugach National Forest. Stop by Russian River, and Kenai Lake for lunch break. Travel along the world famous Kenai River. See the sparking glacier fed blue water. Onward west following the Sterling Highway. Drive south along the bluffs of Cook Inlet where beluga whales are not uncommon to see. At the end of the road, you will reach Homer, a bustling artist community and Halibut fishing capital of the world. Overnight at Halcyon Heights B&B, Homer.
Day 14 Homer
Turn your dreams into reality. Take a sea kayak trip in the Kachemak Bay. Catch a halibut or salmon and cook your fresh catch at Halcyon Heights' BBQ stove. Soak in the Hottub before you retire for the night.
Day 15 Homer
Take the once in a life time trip - Fly a floatplane to Katmai National Park, observing brown bears in their natural habitat. Few are disappointed at this special expedition. 3rd Night at Halcyon Heights B&B.
Day 16 Homer - Anchorage
While driving to Anchorage, view the four active Volcanos along cook inlet. See the Russian Orthodox Church in Ninilchik. Check out the Portage Glacier Visitor Center. Have lunch or dinner at the Alyeska Resort, overnight at an Alaska Best Anchorage B&B (Alaska House of Jade, Highland Glen Lodge).
Day 17 Departure - Return to sweet home.

Some areas of Alaska have limited accommodations and we may be unable to book B&Bs that provide full breakfast and give a guarantee of room class. Even hotels can be limited in availability for King and Queen Beds. This is a 'custom package' which means its has a restricted guarantee. Breakfast is not included at your Valdez accommodation. The Alaska Best B&B guarantee of bed-choice, full breakfast, and private bath does not apply to the Valdez portion of your package. Be assured that we have chosen your accommodation provider carefully, but only Alaska Best B&Bs are held to the guarantee to meet the standard. Because other accommodations like being included by the Alaska Best Group, we know your Valdez provider will do their best to make you happy.
