Set on 10 secluded acres, it’s a more peaceful setting than a hotel for your stay. As hosts of Alaska Garden Gate we want each guest to experience the grandeur of the mountains that surround us in 270 degrees. And then, within your cottage or B&B room, rest and enjoy your stay in with all the comforts you expect from top-quality lodging. We have recently built cottages on our property. If you would like to reserve a cabin (King Bed, Kitchette, Full Bath), please ask for an Alaska Best B&B 'Custom Package.'
At our B&B and Cottages, we want you to let us know if there is anything else we can do to make your stay more comfortable. We've taken ideas from the best places we've stayed as we travel and put those to use for you. In-room or cottage kitchens, coffee makers, mini-frigs, free wireless internet and local phone use, the choice of either down or poly pillows, very good linens, and high standards of cleanliness are things that we think you'll appreciate. We also provide freshly-washed slippers, extra pillows and DVD movies on request!

We pride ourselves on making a different breakfast each morning guests are here, and quite a few guests stay up to two weeks! Egg and potato frittatas, egg and ham stratas, cheesy poofy egg souffles, sourdough pancakes or sourdough pancakes with homemade syrups made from berries out back in the woods, hearty meats, always fresh fruits and muffins or yogurt parfaits, and last but not least, gourmet Irish oatmeal with dried cranberries, blueberries, nuts and cream is a favorite. Everything is served family-style on platters, so you take what you like: the mix of fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, muffins and breads, and local specialties like reindeer sausage or Karen's homemade highbush cranberry and blueberry syrups.
